A mouse lemur, spotted by the rodside in Andsibe during a night walk. Handheld with no flash, so not the best image I'm afraid!
This sportive lemur is nocturnal, and spends the day in a hole in the tree trunk - seen here in the Ankarana reserve.
A tiny giraffe-necked weevil. You can see the damage they cause to the leaves, which they use to wrap their eggs.
Bamboo lemur - also on lemur island, where rescued lemurs are rehabilitated (and therefore very tame).
Madagascar fish eagle (Haliaeetus vociferoides) - seen on a boat trip around the beautiful Moramba Bay
Spot the Leaf-Tailed Gecko! These creatures spend the day head down, camouflaged on tree trunks or twigs, and are very hard to see!
